Publishing forums

Posted on

The short version:

  1. Check that your planned publication channel is ranked 1 or higher at the Publication Forum Project
  2. If you choose an unranked publication channel anyway (NOT recommended), please make sure it is not on the list of predatory publishers

It is important to publish your research in a publishing channel with a high standard and good impact. This page gives you some guidance, but you should always discuss with your supervisor before submitting your work into a publishing channel.

The following list contains some recommended publishing forums to submit research outcomes in Interactive Technology, or HCI in general. The list is not exhaustive, by any standard, but these forums are favored, e.g., by the TAUCHI Research Center. As a general rule, a publishing channel is acceptable if it is rated at least “basic” (or 1) by The Publication Forum Project.

Where NOT TO publish
